Rhodium plating gold refers to the process of coating a layer of rhodium onto a gold surface. Rhodium is a precious metal that is highly reflective and has a bright, white appearance. By applying rhodium plating to gold jewelry, it can enhance its shine, durability, and resistance to scratches and tarnish. Rhodium plating is commonly used in the jewelry industry to give white gold or silver-colored pieces a lustrous finish. However, over time, the rhodium plating may wear off, and the jewelry may require re-plating to maintain its original appearance.
